We partner with our local farmers in getting the most healthy birds to you. Layers are birds that are raised for the purpose of egg production and are mostly sold off when they stop laying eggs.
Old layer chickens are birds that have laid eggs over the course of their lives and are now well spent. They tend to have tougher skins when compared to other kinds of chickens like broilers etc which are reared for meat production.
